How Do I Know If I Have Mold In My Home?

Since mold spores are microscopic and cannot be seen with the naked eye, it can be difficult to determine if you have mold in your home unless you see the black growth. Mold loves moisture, and if you have leaks, it will gladly grow where they are.

Think of some places in your home where moisture might be present. Around toilets, under sinks, dishwasher and refrigerator supply lines. These are all places where moisture is present. If you develop a leak in any of those areas, you will likely end up with a mold problem.
