There are many flood companies out there and choosing one to help after your home or business has been flooded can be a daunting task. There are a few things that may help you choose.

Certifications

Since the cleaning of flood damage is not regulated by the government, the standard for how it should be performed has been chosen by the insurance industry. That standard is the IICRC. Make sure that whatever company you choose, they hold IICRC certifications.

Experience

Make sure that you know that you are hiring an experienced professional. If they can't return a call within 1 hour, be onsite in 4, and updating an adjuster within 8 hours, they may not have enough experience.
